Welcome to YogaJo's Yoga Studio, Milngavie

Yoga Jo's is a dedicated yoga studio situated in Milngavie just outside Glasgow. We run yoga classes for all ages and abilities as well as yoga workshops, retreats and other events. We are also a Yoga Alliance approved Yoga School and run a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course creating new yoga teachers every year.

 

We look forward to welcoming you to our friendly, growing yoga community.  All of our teachers are highly qualified and continue to pursue the development of their yoga practice with ongoing study and daily practice. Yoga is their way of life. Come and let them guide you to a healthier body and mind with this ancient practice.  You wont regret it!

Not sure which yoga class is for you?  You can check out our yoga class styles page for more detailed descriptions, but as a summary - all of the beginners level or level 1 classes are suitable for beginners.

 

We run an Introduction to Astanga course the first Sunday of every second month.  This is a 3 hour course which will give you a good introduction to yoga in general.  You can book it under workshops in our online store.

 

If you are an absolute beginner and are not sure what style of yoga you are looking for here's what we recommend:

We have a class specifically for beginners on a Monday evening at 18.15 pm with Jo.

For a faster paced more physically challenging beginners class go to:

 

  • Patricia's Hatha class on Mondays at 11.15 am. ​

  • Emily's beginners astanga on a Wednesday morning at 11.30 am

 

  • Richard's Power Yoga Class on Saturday mornings at 7.45 am and Thursday evenings at 19.30

 

For a slower paced class try:

  • Lorna-Jane's Wednesday evening Yoga for Relaxation at 19.45

  • Mairi's Yin and Restorative class on Thursay's at 11.45 am​

  • Melissa's  hatha class at 12.15 am on Fridays

  • Emily's Relax and Unwind Hatha class on Friday evenings at 6.15 pm​​

  • Melissa's Yin class on a Sunday at 10.30 am (please book this is a really busy class)

Yoga Class levels:

 

Beginners - beginners level.

 

Level 1 - beginners or those looking for a slow/moderately paced class

 

Level 2 - been coming regularly for at least 6 months and ready for more of a challenge 

 

 

All levels - open level yoga class; pace and postures will be modified to suit all levels

 

It is ok just to turn up at the studio if you have never been before, but please do check the timetable to check that the class is on, from time to time we have to cancel classes.

 

Just so you know, when you go to the MindBody site to check out our class timetable if you click on the name of the class a description of that class will appear, when you click on the teachers name, their bio will appear.
